What materials are used for Hymn & Honey candles?
Our candles are made with high-quality all natural coconut soy wax, designed to be eco-friendly, renewable, and burn cleanly. We also use natural cotton wicks free from lead and zinc, as well as premium fragrances free of harmful chemicals. All of our ingredients are sourced to be safe, organic, phthalate-free, and cruelty-free.
Why choose soy-coconut wax?
Soy-coconut wax combines the best of both worlds; the nice slow even burn of soy wax and the smooth creamy texture and perfect scent throw of coconut wax. It is also eco-friendly making it an ideal choice for conscious consumers.
How long will my candle burn?
Our premium soy-coconut wax typically has a burn time of 40-50 hours. The exact burn time may slightly vary depending on the environment and overall candle care.
Do your candles contain harmful chemicals?
Absolutely not! We are committed to the safety and purity of our products. All of our candles are free of phthalates, parabens, and synthetic dyes to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

How are Prayer candles different from Affirmation candles?
Prayer candles are our signature candles, featuring themes like Faith and Strength with corresponding Bible verses. Our Affirmation candles are complimentary to their collection theme designed for daily motivation, featuring powerful phrases from the Bible
Can I customize a candle with my own specific verse or message?
Currently we are focused on offering thoughtfully chosen verses and messages. Although customization is not offered at this time, it is being considered for the future.
What is the difference between the clear and amber jars?
At Hymn & Honey, the jar color aligns with the current theme of each collection. Our Faith and Devotion jars offer a minimalist clear aesthetic to represent purity and clarity. In contrast our Strength and Courage amber jars provide a vintage warm aesthetic to represent resilience and depth. Each color is thoughtfully selected to enhance the spiritual connection to the theme.
Usage and Candle Care
How do I properly burn my candles?
To get the most out of your candle we advise you to trim the wick 1/4 inch before EVERY use and burn your candle long enough to create a full melt pool. This will help prevent tunneling and ensure a clean, even burn.
How should I store my candles when not in use?
Be sure to store you candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. This will help preserve the fragrance and maintains the quality of the soy-coconut wax.
Why is my candle is tunneling?
Tunneling occurs when the candle has not been allowed to burn long enough to create a full wax pool. To prevent this, make sure to burn your candle for a 2-3 hours to ensure a full wax pool, this is especially important for the first use of your candle.
Can I reuse the jar once my candle is finished?
Of course! Our jars are made to reuse, and we encourage it! Once the candle is finished, clean out any remaining wax, and now you have a jar perfect to be repurposed.
